Very bright considering it's size. Purchased for my 3 year old son which was ready to upgrade from his kids headlamp. Has held up well in the hands of a 3 year old, so I'm confident of it's ruggedness. Chose this model due to it's combination of compactness, weight and light output. He's really stoked to have a real headlamp like daddy.
