I replaced my Hammerheads with these. They aren't really as powerful, but I end up using better technique because of that. When you start to drop your knee, they're like a Hammerhead in position two. When your heel gets all the way down, its more like position four. All this means is that I drop my knee less in powder and more on groomers, and it all works out great. They seem to engage the bellows on my boot even more than Hammerheads, but they don't seem as stiff. My bellows actually bottom out with these if I drop low enough (which is to say too low). That only happened on my Hammerheads when they were in position 4 or 5, but its not a big deal unless you touch your knees to your topsheets a lot. Touring is way better, they don't weigh any more, they seem pretty durable, and they look cool.
