Gear Review

Good, but not durable.

Love the feel of the shoes. Hate that they don't last longer. Ripped through the mesh on both sides within about 300 miles. And I'm not sure that the midsole foam wasn't already cooked by that point anyway.

Love the shoe. My favorite to date as far as comfort and all around handling... I agree though, they are the least durable trail shoe i've owned. Mesh starts to tear between 200-300 miles. For an Utlra guy putting in miles these shoes only last 5 weeks or so.

Hey joh and mni. I wanted to let you know that we updated the mesh for S'13. The mesh looks the same and acts the same and the change here basically represents an in-line tweak that will solve any sort of durability issues you may have experienced with the shoe last season. I myself will be running 5 ultras this season and this will be my shoe for all 5... Thanks for the comments and reviews!

Hi Jon,

How does the Bajada's width compare to the FluidFeel 1? I have the latter and am deciding between a Bajada with my SealSkin socks or Bajada Outdry.

Also, does the FluidFeel work on a slushy road? On icy pavement, I strap on ice joggers over my running shoes, but I would like either a Bajada or FluidFeel to handle some slush (road and trail), or can the older Rockridges handle slush (I can pick them up still from a few places)?

Thanks in advance!
