Glove is good, touchscreen pads work OK
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I wear these Seirus Soundtouch gloves all the time while driving, shoveling snow, and running errands around town. The touchscreen pads on the index finger are great for answering your iPhone or using the bank ATM on a bitterly cold day. I was hoping these could be worn as a glove liner, however, they are too thick for anything except maybe a huge mitt.
*Fit and construction are very good overall
*Inner lining material is soft, snug and extremely comfortable to wear
*These gloves are a very versatile medium weight (think I recall the packaging listed them as 200 weight)
*My hands always stay dry even when sledding with my son
*SoftGrip palm is very "grippy" and nice to have running through the palm and up the index finger and thumb
*The touchscreen pad on the thumbs has been nearly impossible to use (I think it is because the touch strips are so thin and they're placed at the very tip of the thumb)
*The stitching around the touch strips has begun to fray, which is atypical for the rest of the glove construction (which is very good otherwise)
*The glove connector (to keep the pair snapped together) is in a somewhat awkward location on the right hand: the glove snap is on the side of the hand just below the palm -- it dangles about an inch and can get in the way when resting your hand on a steering wheel.
