Function and Comfort

If I could give it 6 stars, I would. The beauty of this pant is the stretch. Because they are a super lightweight softshell material (way too light for skiing--more for warmer weather activities), they are rugged enough to take my constant abuse, but breathable and stretchy enough to remain comfortable well into the summer. Win. There is also a great cincher at the bottom of the leg so it converts EASILY to a capris. Win. Two more words. Wrinkle resistant. Win.

Uses: Hiking, biking, climbing, travel, backpacking. I even used them running when I forgot running shorts when on a work trip and they worked GREAT.

I like these in colder weather, too. Just add the desired base layer underneath, depending on the sport, weather and temp, and you're good to go. I really like them for cross country and ski touring, and winter trekking. The Ferrosi series (pant and jacket) is hard to beat with great breatheability and weather protection.
