Fit differently than the pair I bought in summer of '11

I bought a pair in black last summer ('11) - love love love them. Was excited to see these in other colors...bought a pair of the stone in the same size as my black (M). Disappointed as they seemed to be quite a bit smaller (my weight has stayed the same...what gives?). Bummer!
