Eight miles and loving them
I have been using Tubbs snowshoes for twenty years, the past five years they have not met what I demand out of my equipment,I am brand loyal and live ten miles from where Tubbs began in the early nineteen hundreds,so I was hoping they would design something strong soon, it did not happen.I was forced to find another product, and did I ever! I just returned from an eight mile hike up Caribou Mt.in the White Mountains,a great maiden voyage, about two miles in. I could not believe I had waited so long to try some thing different. The bindings are the most accommodating I have used, the crampons dug into the icy summit conditions with ease,I had great flotation on the soft snow in the afternoon. With ten more inches of snow tonight I can't wait until this weekend! Sorry Tubbs,I will hang them on the wall where old snowshoes belong.
