Disappointment

I have been wearing Roc pants for almost a decade and they have served me well for work, travel and adventure, and as casual wear year round.

I just ordered 4 new pairs from backcountry (their service and price are excellent) to replenish my worn out pairs, and have been disappointed to find that Columbia is now using a lighter weight fabric than in the past. This new lighter weight makes them less suitable for winter wear and for adventure (hunting, hiking, boating).

Responded on

I agree-- the fabric is lighterweight and flimsy. I call them DIC (delicate, indoor chino) instead of ROC (rugged outdoor chino) pants now. alas, all good things come to an end, or at least a demise.
