I have had the original black core for over a year. Recently the battery died and I found a local dealer to replace it. It was working fine till I took it into the water. At 15ft the numbers went blank and did not return till about an hour out of the water. I realize this is not a diving watch, but should be water resistant up to 100ft. I contacted the dealer who told me I was sol. I contacted Suunto to figure out what I needed to do to get it fixed. While waiting on the phone I decided to hang up and call backcountry to see if they could possibly help me out. I was pleasantly surprised. The customer service was excellent, better than I could have hoped. I will definitely check out backcountry for future purchases before I go anywhere else. The core has been a great watch with no other issues.
