The microvelour is very very soft. I washed it on regualr cycle and dried it on low. The pullover came out beautiful-no funky ugly fuzzies. I am 5'2" with an athletic build. I bought the medium and it fits loose, but that is the fit I like. The arms are a smidge long. I really love the bright white color. I bought it for the chillier nights out on the boat.
