Blown away

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

So I was a little leery of Full Tilt. I've skied a Salomon for several years and moving to the three piece cable design with a narrower last seemed like a pretty big jump from a traditional boot. I decided to give them a shot after they introduced the replaceable sole this year - in my opinion that added to the potential life and investment in the boot, so I went for it.

This years Seth's have blown me away. The level of comfort with the Intuition wrap liner, right out of the box was amazing. After heat molding, it got that much better. I would compare the level of comfort and warmth to a high end snowboard boot. Very even fit, no hot spots, no uneven pressure. The tongue and cable design does exactly what FT says it does.

After having the boots fit, I figured there would be some type of response sacrificed for this type of comfort. Nope. I have not skied a boot with such a natural forward and lateral flex. The boots are supportive and light, and stay extremely responsive. I've got 8 days on the boot so far, park, groomers, and the limited backcountry snow has allowed for so far. Zero issues.

Honestly, I can see why some people have stuck with the original 25 year old Raichle shells.

If you're considering this boot, take the plunge.
