Black Diamond Spot Headlamp Rocks!

Someone once asked me describe my favorite inanimate object. My reply? "The Black Diamond Spot Headlamp." (Can you say "continuously variable light output"? Oh yes.)

Mine is a 2010 Spot (75 Lumens on high beam; 2.8 oz with lithium AA batteries). The newer version is 90 Lumens. I've always had plenty of lighting with the 75 Lumen-model, but more power is better, right?

The dimming feature is damn nifty (I'm probably "dimmed" 50% of the time) and the twin red LEDs are easy on your backpacking partners eyes. I've even laid down the rule that you have to have headlamp with red LEDs to be on my "crew". I use the locking feature to prevent accidental "ons" when stowed in my pack.

This lamp is an amazing performer with a fair price... highly recommended!
