I just spent the weekend living in the Flylow Quantum Jacket. I was looking for a basic roomy shell for layering and handling a range of conditions (MN). Went from hockey rinks, to running errands, snowblowing, and shoveling. Didn't get hot, didn't get cold and only wore a heavy wool sweater for insulation. My biggest problem in coats is fit, and I took a chance and ordered the Quantum = homerun. I'm 6'2, 250 lbs , 36" waist with wide shoulders, longer torso, and long arms. The XXL fit for me is perfect and I have plenty of room for one/two layers of insulation. Breathability of the coat was in a word = awesome. A couple features that I really like are two ext. chest pockets and the lower waist pockets are cavernous. One clever design is how the snow skirt ends tuck into triangular pockets and snap in place. The Red coat with tan zippers looks good, received several compliments on the jacket to my surprise. The red is on the darker side compared to what THF or Marmot would use, but it's a nice change from generic safety red most clothing companies use. Not as bright as the Backcountry website shows. Fabric has a nice finish, but is a little on the crunchy side noise wise.
