Best bibs ever?

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These bibs are amazing. I have put over 400 days of snowboarding on a pair and they are still going strong - this is unheard of! I am usually happy to get 100 days in on a pair of snow pants before having them fall apart. Even the heels have held up, and those are usually the first thing to go for us knuckle draggers. Not only are they super durable, but being Gore-Tex they are waterproof, windproof, and very breathable. I love the long side leg vents; perfect for long approaches. My only small complaint is that when I am riding/hiking/skinning with my pack on, the metal clip length adjustor thing on the "suspender" strap rubs right on a metal plate I have in my collar bone. I don?t notice the clip on my good/normal shoulder. Overall, it?s a small price to pay for the outstanding performance of the pants. Disclosure: I received these bibs from Gore as part of a project that tests products for Gore. However, this does not influence my opinion. These are the best snow pants I have ever owned. Get them, you will not be disappointed.

Dear Han... suggest you take any 1/4 in or thicker piece of padding, like insulation material and duck tape it to the metal fastner/buckle piece that is rubbing against your metal plate. It's sort of like those pads that they have for car seat belts to help cushion the front/ torso when the belts are buckled in.
