Back country snowboarding and hiking.

I really like the 100oz hydration pack on this. The quick release drink tube is a great addition over previous models. The only drawbacks to this is the zippers for the goggle pocket and poles open from the bottom. While good for keeping the poles in the bag (I have used it only for shorter hiking pole storage instead of avalanche poles) the goggle pocket also opens from the bottom meaning if that's where you keep your cellphone , GPS or other items if you open the zipper on the trail anything in that pocket falls out! The drawstring inner pocket ripped the first day I used it so it could use a better stitching and interior fabric although the exterior fabric is very durable. Seems to carry a snowboard quite well although I have not used it for a long hike doing that yet (too early for snow). Pricing on this was great (on sale) so I'm not complaining plus Camelbak has a lifetime warranty on all packs. It is comfortable to wear and makes a good back country day pack. I would recommend.
