BEWARE OF FUNKY SIZING!

BEWARE OF FUNKY SIZING!

I want to echo Cory's comments above. I'm 6'1, 175 and wear a Large in everything else. Purchased a Large, but the fit was odd. Tight around the back of the shoulders, very short in the arms, big in the body. Upsized to an XL, and it was huge, and the proportions were still off. As much as I love Mtn Hardwear's current line up of Dry-Q offerings, the sizing is off. This applies specifically to the Drystein, Jovian, Kepler, Snowpocalypse, and Snowtastic, to name a few. I'm perplexed as to why Mountain Hardware missed the mark by so much this year.

Agreed, I have tried on many of the jackets for this year in stores and the fit is weird! Im about the same size as PLINKO and generally like an xl for for a comfortable fit with room to layer, but found that even the xxl was too short length wise, much less the fact that it was huge in the chest. Not quite sure what kind of person their gear was made to fit in.

im 5'11, 140 and medium fit is freaking awesome with and without layer. Jacket might not be the real problem...?

I would consider my body type fairly normal. When I was at REI trying on a few in the line (Jovian, Drystein, and one other I can't remember), I was with a couple of friends. I would say they both had more athletic body styles than me, and we all found the fit just somewhat off. Maybe we just like lower cut jackets, but out of all the ones I tried on, none were really below my waist and when I raised my arms, my lower chest would become exposed quite easily.

I wouldn't say stay away from this jacket completely, but just try it on before you buy. Real shame it didnt fit me right, because you can get these jackets at 40% a lot of places right now and the material seems pretty bomber.

Really? and where would these deal be?
