• Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I picked up the orange jacket for looks. I always loved it's look, but I didn't think it was worth the money just for looks. Boy was I wrong. It's actually a very nice jacket and it has a lot more going for itself on top of looks.

It has surprisingly good water repellency. It's silky texture repels water without DWR. With a DWR coat it should be even better. I was in pouring rain for 20 minutes and I only got slightly moist on my shoulders. Could have been because of my backpack.

It is reasonably warm and and keeps the wind out.
