the pinole is made with thermic MX synthetic insulation. the lamina is thermic micro. the lamina compresses slightly smaller. the weight for the long is the same. as for temp, it depends where you are going. for me, a cold sleeper, as long as the temp doesnt drop below 20, i take my ultralamina 32 and two pads (one a self inflating insulated, and the other a closed cell foam) and sleep in a baselayer, wool socks and a hat.
