Nope. Perfect for year round use.

I have an exped 7 down mat and it kept me toasty on Denali this summer-it works well in the summer but My wife has a 7.5 w/o down that I use when she is not using it. The 7.5 is much smaller,lighter, cheaper, and easier to pack-check it out too!
