had a pair of scott's p4's which I liked, held up well, powder mag recommends these as a good all mountain ski but at 108-110 underfoot and mostly skiing east coast these days was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this ski, was also looking at Atomic Rituals
Dave I think either of those skis would be a good option, having camber underfoot allows you to get some added edge control on the ice and the rockered tips/tails will allow easy turn initiation and exit. At high speeds you might miss the extra edge on the snow, sometimes you can get the ski to wobble a little. 108 I believe to be a little big on the East Coast unless you only really go when its soft. This is my personal opinion and if you've been crushing it with the P4 then good on you! Never got to ski that, have heard it was really fun and bomber.
Thanks Bill! Yes the P4 is a great ski, skied on a lot of different brands and was impressed with scott, still have mine and can hold up on the east (and cold tahoe mornings) with its stiffness despite 110 underfoot. As the Punisher now introduces a raised tip and tail was mainly just worried about that on icier days...with that said I always prefer to chase pow and freshy stashes in the trees!
