Sizing woes. I'm 5'6", 112 lbs. Ordered a small, and I can barely cinch up the hem drawcord enough to keep the breeze out! My only option is to order an XS next, but having tried one on a few months ago, I'm worried about not being able to layer enough under it.

Anyone else having this issue? Is this jacket more useful as outerwear over lots of layers (in which case I'd have to stick with a S) or as a close-fitting, insulating piece (which would mean I'd need an XS)? Thanks!

I have the down sweater (w/out the hood) and I'm 5'6" and 128 and the small fits well for me. I use it more as an insulating piece than as an outer layer. For me, it works best with one layer underneath, then this layer and then a shell. For example, I'll skin up in a base layer and shell in mid-teen degree temperature and then for the ski down, I'll throw on the down sweater as an insulating piece. I'll use it occasionally as an outer layer in the spring when the temperature is closer to the 30's. Hope that helps.
