My question is same as alpine poser's--how is this different from Gea? Other than heavier (why?).

The Skadi is made of PU while the Gea is made of Pebax (PU is heavier than Pebax). The Skadi has a standard liner the Gea has an Intuition thermoformable liner (standard liners are heavier and cannot be heat molded)
