I woke up this spring and the softshell I've had for 5 years has mysteriously disappeared. I've been looking around backcountry and I think that either the Apex Bionic or the MH Android would do well for me. I'm 6'1, 175 lbs and looking for a softshell for a spring/fall around town and hiking use-for-everything jacket. Anyone have an opinion? Would a large be about right (I have long-ish arms)

Thanks!

Hey stn3184054,

Dang. Sorry to hear that your previous softshell jacket went and ran off on you. Both outer shell materials will help do the job in this case unless you are in an area that gets unseasonably cold during most of the Fall and Spring.

As far as fit goes, you would be better in a large in The North Face Apex Bionic Softshell Jacket as it will have a bit of a larger fit than the Mountain Hardwear Android Softshell Jacket which you would need an XL in and still might be a bit small in areas.
