I just returned from a hike in Yosemite....

I just returned from a hike in Yosemite. One of the poles refuses to lock in place. It worked fine for the first half of the hike then stopped working. Now I have one pole that extends to whatever length I need, and another that only locks the lower half. Any suggestions? Will the Leki people fix it?

you can call them. they should, but who knows.

if not you can return them to backcountry.com if you bought them here. they should take them back and exchange them for a new pair or give you your money back (based on their return policies, i dont work for them). but call Leki 1st. generally, when you send something back to the place where you bought it, they then send it back to the manufacturer. dealing directly with the manufacturer cuts out the middle man so to speak...

Before you send it back, try taking the sections apart and making sure they're dry and, most importantly - that the expander nut on the top of the middle section is expanded enough to touch the inside of the walls of the top section. This is often the problem. It can loosen from rolling around in the back of a car or being on a pack just enough to make it unable to expand.
