I am looking for two pfds for adventure racing. I really want something with good pockets in the front. Would you recommend this one for something like that or another pfd?

Fishing PFDs aren't made for intense activity and the pockets are designed for fishing specific tools/tackle. You'll get better mobility and universal pockets with something like the NRS Clearwater Life Jacket - http://www.backcountry.com/store/NRS0026/NRS-Clearwater-Life-Jacket.html
