I am hiking in this shoe now, but need something with a thicker sole because of rocky terrain. Got any suggestions?

Hi Claudia,

As a general comment that might help you head in the right direction, you may want to consider going with a backpacking boot for rocky terrain, not a hiking shoe/boot. Big difference in comfort and performance. You'll get that thicker and stiffer sole that you need, not to mention the ankle support that will, at some point, be something you're thankful for. Specific to another style- my son has been doing heavy packing in Yosemite, etc for several years in the same pair of Keen Targhee II mids and has been really happy with them. Still holding up and giving him plenty of support. You should also consider a pair of good aftermarket foot-beds. Hope this helped.
