Hi msrunner- Based on your height and weight, you are probably just out of the range for a women's Large size in the CW-X Support tights. Size XL will be available from CW-X for women, but not until next season. So for now, my recommendation is to try the Men's size Large. My wife is almost the same exact ehight and weight as you and she wears most of her weight through the hips core area. She likes the way the Men's size large fits her. I hope this helps.
