How long is the actual frame of this pack?...

How long is the actual frame of this pack? From the Deuter website, I see the dimensions are 23"x11"x8". This is slightly longer than most airlines allow as carry ons. Is there any chance I can get a pack that isn't filled completely through airline security by squishing down the top a bit? Thanks!

Sure, just don't fill it all the way up and cinch down the compression straps. Should be fine.
