Hi, I am looking for a winter/fall jacket....

Hi, I am looking for a winter/fall jacket. I have the torrentshell jacket in a size small and use it for spring and summer. The torrentshell jacket is on the slim look on me. I would love to purchase the nano storm jacket but i am not sure what size to purchase. People have been saying that it runs small in length. I am 5'9 and weigh between 145-150 pounds with broad shoulders and a runner lean body.I will be using it for around the town/skiing(4 times a year), and ride my cross bike. I have heard that i should get a medium but i am scared it might be too loose on the chest side. My chest is 38. waist is 30... please help!
thanks :D

A small sounds like a wise choice for someone your size. A medium will almost certainly be too big.
I fit a medium at 5'10" 175lbs, with a 42 chest. Note that this is a rather slim jacket, and the torso is "short" in that it stops just below my belt line. It is well insulated, but if you find that you need an extra layer or two... there is enough room in there to comfortably fit a fleece and a baselayer. Great jacket... you will not be disappointed.
Hope that helps, and enjoy.
