Going to Anchorage for winter - temperatures of -25.
Is this going to be warm enough with the aconcagua down vest under it?

Holy Mackeral that wind is to the bone cold up there! Just returned from time outside Anchorage after buying the vest and the 550 down jacket. Wasn't enough! Wonder if the outer jacket would have been more useful than the vest.

People up there are able to walk around in just a nylon shell and vest - aaargh! The cold effect from wind and ice are very different from same or colder temperatures and snow here in Colorado!
I will add the outer shell before I go back for more winter visiting

I would say no, I agree you should go with a Arctic Parka!
