Does this jacket have put zips? Is the soft shell truly that much softer than the Gortex Pro Shell three layer?

The Tempest has pit zips. The Goretex Softshell is quite a bit softer than proshell. It also has more warmth because of the fuzzy inside. Proshell is tougher, more packable and a bit more breathable.
