Arc'teryx Zenta AR Mitt v Black Diamond...
Arc'teryx Zenta AR Mitt v Black Diamond Mercury Mitt 2011??
I have the Black Diamond Mitt and wore them skiing for the first time this year (2012) in -15 conditions. They were great apart from having a trigger finger liner, this defeats the whole point of having a mitt. My finger was freezing whilst the others were all toasty. I had to eventually squeeze my 'trigger finger' into the main finger department to keep it from freezing.
I get extremely cold fingers and toes to the point of tears and it feels like are being sawn off. I have to always use handwarmers.
Are these mittens any better? They have a full mitt lining but are they as warm as the Black Diamond Mercury Mitt 2011?
Any other suggestions welcome too.
I would fully suggsest the Hestra Heli Mitt. (http://www.backcountry.com/hestra-heli-mitt) . They are also on sale for a great price. Read everyone else's reviews too. They are super warm, very durable. I have used them hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and even just sitting outside in really cold weather down to -40F, and my hands have always been super warm. I am buying a second pair since they are on sale.
