With BBB's Road Stop Brake Pads, you get the multi-compound performance you want, without the price penalty. Due to a certain patent, we can't tell you how many compounds are in this pad, but it's somewhere between two and four…just like the number of colors on the pad. Harder rubber sweeps away grit, increases pad life, and maintains braking performance in hot weather or under high load, while softer sections provide instant response and awesome grip under normal conditions. Compatible with BBB BBS-02, Campy Chorus and Record 2000, Shimano 105SC, Ultegra and Dura-Ace (up to 2005) brake cartridge systems.

No, the Dia Compe 500 use a brake pad with a back plate and fixed anchor mounting pole.
