Boundary-transcending quiver-killer.

The Bataleon Whatever Snowboard doesn't like to be boxed into categories or told where to ride. Truth is, this board will perform admirably all over the mountain, and it really excels at providing a fun, freestyle-focused approach to shredding wherever and whatever you want. A medium-soft flex gives this board a forgiving and buttery feel, yet there's ample response for tearing apart groomers and sending park jumps.

The board's freestyle sensibilities come courtesy of a twin contact shape, yet a slightly directional outline provides enhanced powder floatation. Giving this board an extremely poppy feel, a Core core made of poplar wood has been reinforced along the insert rows with hardwood for increased strength. Bi-ax laminates placed under and over the wood core provide a mellow and forgiving feel, allowing you to feel terrain variations as you ride.

Designed with Triple Base Technology (TBT), this board features Freestyle TBT, which is Bataleon's most versatile shape. Retaining full-on camber, this board is like riding a regular camber board, but it has the catch-free feel of rocker at the nose and tail kicks. Running from above the inserts to the nose and tail kicks, three near-symmetric zones are used for turning left, going straight, and turning right. The left and right zones are lifted off the snow, giving you grip on when placed on edge and a catch-free feel when tracking straight. Ultimately, this combination of camber and lifted contact points gives you the power and pop you crave with the catch-free feel you need when taking a freestyle approach to the entire mountain—the best of both worlds, indeed.
