Forget about the polar bears.

Once you ride the Bataleon Global Warmer Snowboard, you'll quickly forget about melting ice caps, carbon emissions, or stranded Arctic critters. The only thing you'll be contemplating is jumping, jibbing, and spinning your way through the terrain park. A true twin shape, flat profile, and mellow flex allow this board to press and butter with ease, yet carbon stringers underneath the board's inserts boost torsional stiffness. The end result: a board that sits halfway between a dedicated jib stick and high-end, all-mountain freestyle machine.

The Global Warmer snowboard features Park TBT for high speed stability and highly pressable, jib-oriented fun. The board's base is uplifted on both the left and right sides above the inserts until the nose and tail kicks. A large swath running from inserts to the nose and tail kicks remains flat, and the center of the board between the bindings is totally flat as well. This allows for three separate zones—one for tracking straight, one for left turns, and one for right turns. The concave, or uplifted, base edges prevent hangups when grinding, yet the board still delivers grip when placed into a turn. Ultimately, this technology gives you the playfulness, forgiveness, and float associated with rockered boards, yet it retains full tip-to-tail flat camber for stability and predictability when riding hard.

  • Twin, centered stance
  • Flat camber
  • Park Triple Base Technology(TBT)
  • Core Core: poplar with hardwood enforcements along the insert rows
  • Carbon enhanced: carbon stringers underneath board's inserts
  • Biax laminates
  • Extruded base

Watch the world burn GW

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

this board is sick. The flex is great. I had a rome artifact last year and wanted something with a little more to flex against and stability in jumps. This board is fun for rails and jumps and the TBT has saved me from being hurt a good handfull of times. could instantly see how the camber gives awesome pop which i missed while riding a rocker and the camber mixed with tbt really does make it perfect for edge control and playfulness. All in all super happy I bought this board and deff will look to bataleon for another board when needed.

Keep your cool

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This board was my first time trying TBT, so that's really what I was looking for when testing this deck out. I was bummed that I couldn't noticed the TBT more- it really just resulted in some odd flex patterns in the board, but, me personally, I didn't notice a big difference from other boards edge-to-edge. This board is still a lot of fun though. Great all around park board- not to loose to be scared hitting jumps with, and not to stiff either. The TBT makes the flex a little different from what I like- it feels like its harder to flex then it really is, and when its pressed out, it doesn't really flex where I wanted it to. Overall, a fun board, but I think it really comes down to whether you like TBT or not. I was riding the 148, which was sized good for strictly park riding, but the 151 would be better for when I am just out cruising the mountain. I usually ride boards around 150-153.
