    Make the mountains your home.

When the biggest traffic jam you encounter during your morning commute is a heard of elk crossing the road and your closest neighbor is a salty old gopher that lives beneath your woodshed, then you know your living in the right spot. And since the mountain town lifestyle isn't impervious to rain or the occasional slip in the creek, it pays to wear a pair of quick-drying pants like Basin and Range's Current Quick Dry Men's Pants when you're out and about. Made from a stretchy, durable blend of nylon and spandex, the Currents are well-equipped to handle everything from afternoon hikes with the dogs to evening walks to the closest watering hole for drinks. The integrated webbing belt lets you make space for a hearty breakfast of black coffee and bacon and eggs, or room for one more pint of pale ale before you hoof it back up to your mountain town abode.

    Loose fitting, Active pant

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 32

These have a pretty straight, wide legs, in a very active fabric that's great for almost any activity. They clean up well also, if you need to meet the parents for dinner, right after your day outside.

    Good fabric, big cut.

My husband liked these pants, except he didn't like the cut. The legs are too wide, for his taste. Out side of that, they are very stretchy and good for climbing, hiking and any activity. They do dry quickly, so they are also good for fishing.

The 32's were fine, but he wonders if the 30's would have fit better. If you are on the cusp, try sizing down.

He hasn't used them a ton, so I can't speak to their durability, yet.

    Good fabric, big cut.

    Liked the look and feel

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: medium/32

I ended up having to return these pants due to a sizing issue but i really wished i didn't have to, because just by the feel of the material i could tell it would be extremely flexible and a fantastic outdoor pant!! ended up switching to a different pant but i am looking to get the right size in this really soon and couldn't be more excited!! runs just slightly large

    Ticks all the boxes

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I needed a pant that was comfy, not too tight but not too loose, and one that could more easily wick moisture/be more sturdy in outdoor activities like hiking.

This pant had a great fit, and, although I was skeptical of stepping into a pant with an adjustable waist, I was not disappointed. Works great when you forget a belt but also has the standard waist straps to fit a belt if you want to rock it that way.

Awesome pant for the price. Would easily pay double the price for what it is.

    Good Pant Smaller Pockets

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Great pant, true to size and a good cut. Only issue is the pockets, both hip and cargo are a bit small. Not a huge issue but if Backcountry could fix this it would be a top rate pant.

After about 6 mo of use, the drawstring on one of the pant cuffs broke. Not a dealbreaker, but doesn't speak well of the quality of this garment.

    Comfy, Great Fit, Poor Sewing

    • Size Bought: S/30

I was so stoked on these pants, and ended up very disappointed. The fit was stellar--much better than my Prana Zions. They felt great, with a modern trim cut, but not restricting, and the waist and length felt true to size (I'm a 31x30 and the small was perfect. The pockets were deep and well placed. Sadly though, I ripped both front pockets at the junction where the pocket seam met the pant leg. They really need a bar tack stitch at that junction. I hope this can be addressed in the future, because other than that fault I really liked the pant.

    Soft and comfy

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

Ive got several pairs of hiking pants (Patagonia, Fjalvaven, Arcteryx) and these are pretty comfy. I like the adjustable waist belt and the material is soft and comfy. I've mostly used them for light hikes and have yet to get them super wet, but given the material would expect they would dry pretty quickly. I got the khaki color and the color is a normal khaki color that I can wear with anything.
