Great snowshoe boot.

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I just got done with 10.8 mile snowshoe in mostly deep snow and uncut trail. These boots were amazing. My feet were dry and warm. My feet were comfortable and I didn't end up with much wear on my feet. No blisters even though this was basically a first run in these boots. There was some slackness in the laces, but it did not seem to create a major problem. My boots were not slipping or sliding on my feet much. Occasionally I had to cinch them up.

With a quick replacement of the cinch lock to keep the laces tight these would be nearly perfect for me.

Have had these a couple of season's now.

The cinch strap really does slide around quite a bit. I have been using them out on the job for 8-9 hours in snow. I find that I have to re-cinch them to keep them tight 8-12 times a day.

I also notice that after about 6 hours vigorous activity in the snow, moisture begins build up and by 7 hours in, my foot is completely soaked. Not sure if this is moisture leaking in or moisture building up. I wear heavy wool socks inside so my feet don't seem to get cold, but it is bothersome.

Even so, I will buy a replacement for these boots when mine finally wear out. They have really held up nicely. For everyday wear, they are easy to get into and out of. If I go outside and the temps are 0 to -15 or so my feet stay rather warm with my wool barn socks. These are only rated to -4 but the warmth of these boots is a nice surprise.

good boot but !!!!

i wear a 11.5 boot so i ordered a 12 and it fit fine plus i have wide foot and it is very comfortable the problem i have is the laces i like to cinch my boots up tight and you can not with the stlt of laces that are provided . I cut the cinch lock off and i tie them like a regular boot much better i would recommened this boot to a friend with a little advice

Initial Sizing Impression - Size 12

I had read many reviews about the boot being not true to size and generally 1/2 to as much as 1 1/2 sizes too small for many reviewers.

Typically, I wear a 10 1/2 or 11 shoe. I thought it would be prudent to get a size 12 to make sure I have enough room.

The room is very abundant for me in the size 12. I cinched up the boots as much as possible with my icebreaker socks and my feet are still a bit loose. I would say that my foot would have needed an 11 1/2, but only whole sizes are available. I think I will want to double up my socks or get some special thicker socks for when I am snowshoeing.
