Warm, comfortable, and stylish enough for everday wear.
While it's true there are worse things than having cold, wet feet, it's also very nice to just avoid that situation completely. Make sure your feet are warm and snug for all your wintertime fun with the Women's Madeleine Boot from Baffin. The Madeleine is made from silicone-treated timberwolf nubuck suede, so it's extremely waterproof but also won't freeze up, even in the harshest conditions. Inside you'll find hollow-fiber insulation that is designed to help keep your feet warm down to temperatures of negative 4 Fahrenheit. Because sometimes you have to be on your feet for a while, Baffin used a supportive EVA midsole to keep your feet feelin' fine. A grippy rubber sole is used on the bottom because the warmest boots in the world won't keep you warm if you're constantly falling in slush and getting wet.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 11
I wanted a performance snow boot that wasn't unattractive. I got it. These are just as cute in person as they are in the photos. It is still fall, so other than a few walks to break them in I have not had the opportunity to wear them in the snow. I can tell they are very warm.
Sizing: I have long feet, so I have a size 11. The length is right, but they are wide through the foot and heal. The ankle is a bit wide as well. The laces that they sent are not sufficient to tighten them down, decorative over function. I disliked the laces and ordered new ones anyway.
There is no arch support. I am going to be hiking in Iceland with these, and I needed an arch support. I bought some great wool inserts for about $10, and the problem is solved. I will try to remember to post a photo when I get back.
I wear 8.5 and bought Baffin Women's Madelaine Snow Bootboots in size 8 and size 9M. Unfortunately I can't find in size 9 narrow. The size 8 does fit better than the 9, although size 8 feels a little tight when I wear heavier socks. Do these boots stretch?
I am sorry you are having trouble finding the right size in this boot! If the size 8 is just a little tight, it may stretch a bit to your foot. Being made of suede it will stretch and conform a bit to your foot. My only thought would be the rubber sole causing irritation along the side of your foot. Maybe the 9 will fit with an insert?
Hope this helps!
