Quality and great price

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

I bought these for a cabin trip and figured I wouldn't use them much beyond that. Turns out I ended up wearing them around the house nearly every day for the last few months. They're very comfortable. I bought a pair for my girlfriend, and she loves hers, too. We haven't had any lumpy footbed issues with ours. I wear size 12-12.5 and the 3XL fits me comfortably.

A little bumpy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

As mentioned by others, the footbed is bumpy. I sized up and glad I did since I want to be able to fit em on with thick socks. Still tighter than I expected. Nice and warm around the house so far!.

Bumpy Lumpy Foot Bed.

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

I ordered this for my boyfriend because they were out of his size in the Baffin Base Camp Slipper, which he had tried previously and really liked. When he went to try these on, it was an immediate no. I am not sure if it was a fluke, or just the product, but the inside of the boot, on the foot bed was all lumped to the middle of the slipper, so it was like you were standing on a mountain. We were unimpressed and returned them, later trading them for the Base Camp slipper when it got re stocked in his size.

Responded on

I don't think it was a fluke because I had the same problem with these when I first tried them on. It felt like I was standing on an uneven surface and my first thought was to immediately send them back. However, I decided to give them a chance because they were so warm and it's been really difficult finding anything in my size. After a day or two, the foot bed insulation evened out and they are really comfortable now. They may feel strange at first but it seems they just need to be broken-in.

Great gift for dad's!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

I bought these for my dad who lives in Colorado near Vail. He called me the day he got them and had to tell me how sweet they were. He said his feet were so warm wearing them around, and commented that he had more traction with these on in the snow/ice than his nicer winter boots. For not being too sure what to get him for Christmas, I'd like to think I nailed it with these! He's a size 11 shoe and the XXL fit him great!

Unanswered Question

Are these booties quite wide at the bottom?...

Are these booties quite wide at the bottom? Is the sole quite flexible left to right?
This may seem an odd question but I'll be wearing them inside the foot plate of my mono-ski and there is a VERY limited amount of space in there.

Great All Around Booty

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

So far I love them. I've had them a couple months and wear them all the time. Quite light weight for my ultralight pack weight and great for around the house. I wore them around camp a couple nights with temps in the upper 20's F with lightweight Smartwool socks and my feet stayed quite warm. The ground was covered with oak leaves and smallish twigs, never had a problem with durability or slipping. My wife loves her pair as well. The work well in my Western Mountaineering bag as well helping to push the temps colder than the bags rating. For the price they are hard to beat for sure. I wear size 12 and had to return my XXL size for 3XL then they fit great.

Warm Toes!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these for my husband after receiving my women's version. I totally agree with the 'walking on pillows' review, they are heaven on your feet! He, they are incredibly comfortable and keep your feet cozy. We mainly got these for camping in colder temps but I wear mine around my house often. The outer bottom can wear out quickly if you use them a lot especially in the outdoors.

Very comfertable

Got a pair of these to wear around the house a couple weeks ago, and they are great. My only complaint is that the non slip grip is already almost gone, not a big deal on carpet, but I need to take a little bit of care when walking on the bathroom tile.

I wear a size 13 and the 3XL fits great

Warm boots!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought these for my boyfriend, he's got WIDE feet and he's size 11 and ended up getting him size XXL and they fit great.

They are warm but the only concern would be that the anti slip grip at the bottom is wearing very fast. Not sure how long they'll last.

Warm & Comfortable

Love these slippers and have been using them for years. They are warm, soft, and very comfortable; like little sleeping bags for your feet. The only negative is the outer bottom wears out, but only after extensive use.

Value!!

  • Gender: Male

These things are cheap! Not cheap in construction (maybe a little), but wow, what a great price. These boots are not down-filled, but rather these boots have synthetic insulation. I'm not a great big fan of down booties since snow can often be very wet, depending on the season. These things would work ok even when wet.You should wear socks with these and they do keep your feet warm--not as warm as I was expecting but nonetheless, warm. There is a decent level of rigidity and thickness to the bottom, helping you avoid close contact with the cold ground/snow.

In terms of quality control, I haven't noticed anything wrong. The sizing was accurate for me, I got a 3XL for size 12-13 feet--I'm 6'1, 165 lbs if that matters.

Overall, great booties; I highly recommend them.

Ehh.. I'm in between..

My feet get cold easily and so I wanted to get some booties to wear around the house and lounging on the couch but didn't want a sole or footbed (think of a really thick sock instead of sandals/slippers and you'll know what I'm looking for) so I go these. They work well at keeping your feet warm but look a bit bulky understandably. For me personally, every now and then it would feel like there was too much material near the center of the sole but not enough around the perimeter. When I would walk, I would feel a slight pressure that was unevenly distributed. Again, this wouldn't happen all the time, but I would notice it now and then. This is probably due to it's construction and the location of the seams more than anything.

The inner lining isn't to my liking. It's made up of some polyester fleece lining I think that makes it a bit itchy and makes my feet feel clammy. I remediated this by wearing a thin pair of socks.

They also need some better quality control or something when making these.. My right bootie looks like it be belongs on my left foot. Walking around on these on anything other than carpet makes this sticking sound like taking a bit of clear packaging tape, sticking it to the floor, and taking it off again.

I echo what others have said about the sizing issues these have. I wear an 8.5 men's and got an XXL.

In conclusion.. Overall, I don't know how I feel about these.. They work well enough but I'm also on the fence about returning these..

Recommend as a Ten

This place ROCKS! The booties are awesome, but more importantly the BC Team went way out of their way to make feel comfortable. They even alerted me of a weather condition that may have delayed my order. Fortunately, it was not delayed - IMO if every company was as tight as BC we would all be in a better place. You've got my business!!!

What does a pair of 3X weigh? Are they down filled? If so what fill power of down is used? If not down, what type of insulation?
Thanks,

I'm not sure exactly what type of insulation is used but it's a high-loft synthetic. They way about 5-6oz.

Very nice slippers!

These are the best slippers I've ever owned... they're like little sleeping bags for your feet.

The first thing I do when I get home from work is put these babies on and I leave them on all night until I fall asleep and then I usually kick them off when my feet get too hot.

My only gripe is they are not waterproof so I can't run out to the mailbox in them if it's been raining.

run's way small

Not sure why manufacturers can't figure out how to size items, but the 3xl I received is not even close to fitting a 13 shoe size. Very disapointed. Also worried that had they fit, the bottom looks like it might just wear out prety fast as it seems just cloth...?
