    Pretty awesome

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Having this in your bag of tricks is pretty great when it comes to being the camp chef. I enjoy cooking in the wild, it takes a little time to prep but it's worth it. You're not having dessert with breakfast or lunch so presumably you're in camp for the night. I find preparing it to be a nice way to wind down as you gaze out over the scenic vista of your choosing. Where the prep time may be a factor would be in bear country when you're eating prior to selecting your camp site, in such a case racing daylight is going to hamper your ability to relax an enjoy dessert anyway.

    Too complex

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am all for different dinner options. However, when it comes to dessert, I like it sweet and simple. 15minutes to make dessert and simmering on heat for 10 minutes is too much for me. If you don't mind the time, and difficulty of simmering on 10, skip it. it does taste really great though!

    Good, so good!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is definitely one of my favorites, only problem is that it requires a little more effort than the also delicious "just add water"Raspberry Crumble. If you're down with some extra dishes, add it to your cart and get out there!

    Delicious, but requires cooking

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

One of the tastiest backpacking desserts I've tried. That said, this requires you to dirty a pan to cook the cobbler. If you're down with dishes, buy this and plan for a treat! If you're feeling lazy, go for the just-add-water Mountain House Raspberry Crumble.

    Sooooooooooooooo good!

It's pretty incredible that this is considered camping food because it's definitely something I'd cook-up at home. The apple filling is warm, gooey, sweet, cinnamon-y and delicious (just like a good apple pie) and the cobbler mixture is light and airy and amazing. I was bummed that I only had one package with me! So good!
