Yummy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My favorite dessert when camping/backpacking. Nothing tops off a day of hard hiking/climbing, etc. like some hot apple cobbler!

Too complex

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am all for different dinner options. However, when it comes to dessert, I like it sweet and simple. 15minutes to make dessert and simmering on heat for 10 minutes is too much for me. If you don't mind the time, and difficulty of simmering on 10, skip it. it does taste really great though!

A big hit.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The camp loved sharing this desert. No, its not as easy as passing around some crumbled up space ice cream. But if you've got the energy to do a little more cooking after dinner, the result is absolutely worth it. 5 stars.

Good, so good!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is definitely one of my favorites, only problem is that it requires a little more effort than the also delicious "just add water"Raspberry Crumble. If you're down with some extra dishes, add it to your cart and get out there!

Best backpacking quick fix ever!

Delicious, but requires cooking

One of the tastiest backpacking desserts I've tried. That said, this requires you to dirty a pan to cook the cobbler. If you're down with dishes, buy this and plan for a treat! If you're feeling lazy, go for the just-add-water Mountain House Raspberry Crumble.

Great dessert

Took this on a 5 day 50 mile backpacking trip. It was a wonderful treat at the end of a long day hiking.

Very tasty

Just returned from BWCA Minnesota - took this along - it was very tasty and nice change from oatmeal. Used hot water and it was a great breakfast

Sooooooooooooooo good!

It's pretty incredible that this is considered camping food because it's definitely something I'd cook-up at home. The apple filling is warm, gooey, sweet, cinnamon-y and delicious (just like a good apple pie) and the cobbler mixture is light and airy and amazing. I was bummed that I only had one package with me! So good!
