Titanium flask, small enough to be convenient, large enough for you to actually enjoy whats inside. Plus it has the goat on both its side and on the pouch. This is a very cool little item that's bound to be a talking point when you casually pull it out. Love it so much I bought a second one.

For me, this flask is perfect. Perfect for taking to a hockey game, a wedding, or backpacking. The shape fits in the pocket of your jeans, slacks, or shorts without printing, and gives you ready access to those couple of bracers that you need at these events. For the trail, all I really ever need is a little nip before bedtime. This flask delivers just that. If you want something more substantial, bring along a full-sized plastic flask...

Do you offer an engraving service for this? (Seriously, I'd like to give it as a gift - getting it engraved around the circumference of the reverse side would be awesome.)

Chris, you can talk to a Gearhead using the "Chat Now" function but I am thinking you will have to take it to a jeweler or someone who does engraving. I doubt if Backcountry would offer this service.

As a bartender I pour nearly everybody 1.5oz shots (the well known poor tippers get 1oz, maybe less). So what are you gonna do with a flask that holds 1 and 2/3 shots? Sport some everclear in your breast pocket? God bless the zero excess man who needs a titanium flask and pounds everclear!

@onepaddle...the volume, or fluid capacity of the flask is 2.5 fluid ounces. The weight of the empty flask is 45 grams, or 1.6 ounces. A typical "shot" of liquor is 1.5 fluid ounces, so the flask holds about two, slightly smaller (1.25 fluid ounce) shots, or one big bulldog shot...hope that helps...

2.5 oz looks likethe weight of the flask. I would guess the capacity at 5 or 6 oz. Maybe somebody who knows could comment on the capacity of the flask.

Obviously, jaz2942919, you don't own the flask and are simply commenting negatively about its size. Please allow me to suggest that, if you're buying this flask to distribute shots to customers, you might be using the wrong tool. It looks just right to me for a quick nip each night on a weekend trip. In fact, that's why I just purchased it.

well 2.5 oz is 2+ night caps of single malt, which is something one might have to sneak to the (dry) in-laws house. Gotta be titanium, glass or plastic to not make your drink taste like metal. This fits the bill.

Would I take it on a 5 day trail-fest? No.

Anyone try to get one of these past TSA? I heard they can confiscate items not labelled with the volume. But at least it's under 3oz, no? Sadly, so many plastic containers could take its place, though not with such panache.

I'll be honest. i think its way too small. even if you are sippin not gulpin you are gonna run out of cough syrup after the 2nd night of campin. i think snowpeak kills this flask is volume, unfortunately i dont have a trust fund to buy one. i wish this were a 6 oz. it could be better no doubt about it.

as the recommended use describes.... its for sippin, not gulpin. if your stuck in some forsaken place like deadwood south dakota, and wishing to do the old miner style shot slammin, i hope there is a generous bartender around to help you get your drunk on.

Backcountry Titanium Flask

Nice lightweight flask for a little bit of the old "daddy juice". You're not going to be able to hold enough in this flask to get the whole camp tipsy... or even yourself, but if you just need a little sip before hopping in your tent, this thing is perfect. One recommendation for the next model: please make it so the cap is attached to the body of the flask. I dropped my cap in the snow and it took me a while to find it.

Awesome little flask for touring or around the campfire. A little small, but for what it is this item rocks. Can't beat the titanium goat either!
