The SynthTrail No-Show flies under the radar, showing nothing above while surrounding your foot in zone-mapped technology below the ankle. Light mesh on top cools the blood running over your instep, while spandex panels cradle your arch from below and thermal nylon fibers wick sweat away from the skin. The 4-Pack provides ultimate laundry avoidance.
Great socks, happy feet! The Backcountry brand socks have an amazing wicking ability, are low profile, and the little roll at the top keeps the socks from sliding down into my shoes. Even after a long, hard run, my feet feel dry and blister free.
I don't know what it is but I love all backcountry socks especially these. So comfy and they don't leave you with an awkward tan when your off the trail.

They feel great on on the feet. They are not too hot.I run in then and also just wear on a daily basis with any shoe. They are a great support too. There is one downfall, though it isn't a bad one,the left and right foot that are indicated on the sock themselves, so you feel like you are doing your foot a disservice if you put them on the wrong foot. But really they are a great sock!
As like other Backcountry.com's socks these are very comfortable. I wear La Sportiva Nago climbing shoes and in the cooler weather I like to wear socks with them. They are snug enough to fit comfortably in my nagos keeping my feet somewhat warm at least better than not wearing any socks. The durability of the socks seems improved as well. As I have always liked the comfort of Backcountry.com's socks it is their sewing or construction that I have had problems with in the past. It seems that these socks don't have that problem.
I really enjoy the extra cushion up in the ball of the foot on these socks. The extra padding at the top keeps your foot from rubbing against the shoe even though they are no-show socks, it also keeps the sock from sliding down. The fit is good in all the right spots.
The SynthTrail No-Show Sock fits my foot very well and the "breathability" is excellent. They do not provide much padding or extra cushion so make sure your shoe is a tight fit. If you have space in your shoe your foot will slide. I have used these with the Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Trail Running Shoe and they are perfect! I tried them with a pair of basketball shoes and they worked okay but slid around. Greats socks and a great price.
For some reason this sock is a magnate for hair. If you have a cat or dog it makes these a nightmare.
Would have preferred to have the option of a multi-color pack, but hey - who really notices the color of your socks!? Bought them as a good value exercising sock & they do that job just fine.
If you don't care how socks fit your feet you should continue looking for some crappy socks. If you enjoy socks that hug your feet and have the padding in all the right places then you have found your socks. Just go ahead and put them in your cart and enjoy.

Some of the best socks I've owned. They're wonderful at shielding the blister "hot spots" -- even after the fact when having to wear an inferior sock whilst all of your SynthTrail No-Show socks are in the wash (poor planning on my part) -- Wonderful as a "liner" for a pair of cleats on the pitch, or a nice little trail run in my Montrails. As a person who misplaces socks constantly, I've wound up with both right socks in my gear bag. Hint: turn one inside out, you now have a left sock....
Great deal for the price. Unlike others, I like the left and right because tailoring to each foot helps reduce excess material wrinkling up under your shoes. Yes they do seem to pick up more dog hair than others, and I wish they were Merino Wool, but for the price a great deal. Cannot comment on durability yet, and I might change my mind when I lose all of the lefts and have only rights but for now Harumph Harumph!!!
These are nice lightweight socks, with a little bit of cushion. The roll at the top makes them stick out of the shoe more, but also keeps them from sliding down, so it's a tradeoff. I do wish they came in just plain white or grey, but they're good socks, and for a decent price.
These socks are great. I've placed a couple of orders for them and continue to enjoy them for running and biking. They are very ergonomic to the foot, have good padding and breathe nicely. Just don't pull them on too hard as the heel can rip, but that only happened to me once while I was rushing. In short, I've pretty much committed myself to only buying these socks from here on out.
Totally comfy. My favorite feature is the small cushion roll at the top, which keeps the sock from sliding down into my trail runners. Let's just say I bought quite a few in case they run out of stock.
I really like the feel of these socks. feet never get clamy and they are very comfortable. Don't ride down your foot when doing something active. I wear them to bike in and for everyday use. The only thing I don't like is that the socks are right and left foot specific. Cool idea, but kind of annoying.
Backcountry.com socks kill it - the little roll at the top of the ankle actually works great - you get a sock that doesn't show, but wicks well, good durability, and stays put. All that at a wicked good price.
These socks are SO comfortable and they are great for running. I just did an 11-miler & I am blister-free (despite my size being a bit too large as well)!
bought them for my husband who only wears old grimey socks. He can't take them off. Super comfortable and best solution yet for the sweaty foot problem. He would've given 5 stars except for the fact that there's Left and Right socks, which is a bit lame.
I like these socks quite a bit. Very soft, comfortable, breathable, All good stuff. Why only 4 stars then? After one wash the tops of the socks seemed a bit bigger than they were before and didn't quite fit as well. I will continue to wear these, but in the future I will probably be buying the same sock only this time with the upper.
These are a great sock at a great value. These are lightweight yet supportive. I have bought them for my wife and She loves them as well. The zone mapped tech is pretty cool extra padding just where you want it and nearly a mesh on top for venting. Really comfortable. You won't be disappointed.
These are some great synth socks, but I'm still sold on merino socks. These fit very well and are very comfy on long hikes/runs, but I would still prefer the feel of merino. Another plus is the roll on the cuff, it really keeps the sock from slipping down.
I am glad these socks come in a multi pack because I wear them everyday. I bought them for running specifically and they are super for that. But I have found out that I actually enjoy wearing them daily at home at work, riding my bike...love the color, love the style and love the feel.
First off, the socks fit great. They are left and right foot specific so if you loose a left you will have an odd sock around until you loose one of the rights. I haven't been happy with the breathability of them, I thought the mesh panel across the top of them would help out but it doesn't really seem to, my feet always end up getting sweaty. I would probably suggest going to some of the merino wool socks on the site, they are a little more expensive but wick moisture very well.
Eh, they're sock. I could have done without the added cushion at the top, but it doesn't bother me too much. It's just a little more "show" than what I think a "no show" sock should have. Also, one of the started to rip as I was pulling it on one morning. I suppose they could get away with increasing the price more since it taught me a life lesson about not rushing and treating things of value better. I do really like these socks, and the fact that they have a big "L" and "R" printed on them help me to remember which foot each sock goes on.
