Don the Backcountry.com Rime Softshell Pullover and head out for an autumn trail run or a spring ski tour. With its stretchy, element-shunning PowerShield material and streamlined design, this softshell provides high-end performance—minus the sticker shock. The Rime Pullover heeds the call when you need a super-light, breathable shell for high-aerobic activities. This piece dumps heat when you're charging up the trail and blocks warmth-stealing ridgeline winds at the summit. Wear the Rime alone over a base layer or add another layer on top for a little extra warmth—the dynamic, fitted cut provides all kinds of options. Lined with a soft, wicking fleece layer, the Rime Pullover feels great whether you're on a trail run, or early-morning coffee run. Reflective Backcountry.com logos on the sleeve and collar prevent you from becoming roadkill during night-time jogs, and the welded chest pocket holds your wallet, keys, or energy gel close for easy access.
Bottom Line: When it comes to lightweight, high-aerobic performance, nothing holds a candle to the Backcountry.com Rime Pullover Jacket.
Looks like a very nice pullover but beware of the sizing. Everything is a little small so I needed an XL instead of L. Cannot wait to try this on a wet bike ride....
I am a woman, 5'9" and I bought the men's S and it fits nicely, trim cut. I wear this snowshoeing at night and it is the perfect combo of soft and light fabric, with wicking, windproof & waterproof qualities! Love it!

This is a great breathable softshell for high aerobic activities in the cold...I was very pleased at the quality of the materials and worksmanship in a product so reasonably priced. I will be wearing this mountain biking, running, and cross-country skiing this winter. Should get lots of use!
This is my second product from Backcountry.com and yet again, it is top shelf! It is a little tight on me due to the athletic cut but that will only aid in keeping warm when jogging in the morning.
I have worn it on duty as an EMT and it was great! It went over a compression base-layer and under my issued (non-windproof) fleece and it worked as predicted, breathable and blocked the wind.
If Backcountry keeps producing these great products, I'm going to be broke soon!
Completely invulnerable to moisture, wind doesn't get through it and it is way warmer than anything this thin and light has a right to be. I was putting around in the yard with just a lightweight long sleeve wicking baselayer and this thing when it was 35 degrees outside. Unzip the collar and you are good into the 70's with a light short sleeve shirt.
Good athletic cut - I have a Large and I'm 6'1", 190 lb. Fits well across the midsection on me - if you have any kind up belly upsize it a bit. My only complaint on fit is that it could stand to be about an inch longer - reaching overhead pulls it up over your waistband on your pants.
This pullover is amazing..i got it shipped to my office and was curious so i threw it on over my shirt and went to the bathroom. I turned on the sink and just suck my arm under the faucet for literally 30 seconds and not a single drop of water was absorbed into the thing...its like a shield. Its currently raining and i cant wait to go outside and run around in it.
Since there's no sizing chart here i'll say the fit is nice slim/athletic. It may be small if you measure it against what is considered the standard american cut nowadays. I bought a medium and its perfect. I'm about 5-9 and usually wear shirts/suits with a 37 chest.
Looks like a very nice pullover but beware of the sizing. Everything is a little small so I needed an XL instead of L. Cannot wait to try this on a wet more...
