You and your old, trusty pullover are inseparable for now, but the Backcountry.com Men's Outlay Pullover Hoodie is here to change that. Soft on the inside, smooth on the outside, and just heavy enough to take the bite out of chilly mornings in camp, the Outlay has a strangely powerful level of comfort. You'll find yourself wearing it at the trail head, in camp, at home, on the plane, at work, and anywhere else you can justify wearing a hoodie—it's just that good.

  • Cotton fleece material is supremely soft, smooth, and warm
  • Hood drawstrings make it quick and easy to cinch the hood around your face on cold mornings in camp
  • Knit cuffs feel lightly elasticized so they stay snug around your wrists to keep drafts out

This hoodie is just sick. Very comfortable. And you can't beat that awesome goat on the front. Love sporting around the goat and letting everyone know I'm an outdoor addict. Also in the hood there is a bunch of different "activities" I guess. Which makes this hoodie great for everyone I will post a picture with it soon.

Did not catch the back view of this product online. Love the fit (6'3" , 215 lbs, got XL...fits a little long), color and softness BUT wasn't too fond of the advertisement on the back of it - fairly large lettering at bottom of garment, "backcountry.com" - don't think this was necessary given that the very first time I wore it out in public, THREE PEOPLE asked me what the logo was for. Gladly told them it's for backcountry.com. I own other backcountry.com gear that lacks the advertisements and get questions on them too...namely my "Stoic" soft shell jacket which I love

Comf.

I use this thing when I'm skiing park or biking to classes here in Colorado. It's rad. Super soft, great fit, and stylish to say the least. It's not gonna keep you super warm because it's a cotton hoodie. No complaints. Support Backcountry!

Shibby!

Very comfortable. Supple all the way around. Good quality and I expect it to last a long time. Nice and soft on the inside even after a few wash cycles. Not quite as heavy as my TREW sweatshirt, but a lot more comfortable and well-fitting. XL fits me well and I am 6'4", 185lbs.

Fantastic

I was a bit skeptical at first by how much the hoodie was being pushed in the description of it. It is all backed up. The inside is as soft as fleece, but as thin as cotton. It deals with rain well (I wore it over a t-shirt when my town received 5 inches in two days and never even felt a thing) and I am greatly pleased with buying it (deep pine color). I am 6', 185 with an averagely athletic frame and the medium worked great for me.

Great way to represent the place I love

This has got to be one of the softest hoodies I've ever owned! I'm 6'2 180lbs and the Large fits great! The only reason I take it off is to wash it. It's a nice piece to climb in when the temp drops a little. Overall well worth the money!

Is Backcountry out of the Small size, or does this product not feature a Small size? I am 5'7" and 130lbs. From the reviews I have read, the Medium would be huge on me, which I am not a fan of. But this is such a sweet hoodie, I wanna get one, I just need to know if the Small size will be in stock or not.

So I'm rather oddly shaped. 6" tall and about 130lbs. From all the reviews I've read the large would better fit my height but a medium would better fit my weight. Generally I'd prefer baggy over not tall enough... but obviously I'd prefer not to be rocking anything too baggy. Any suggestions?

with some base layers, would this be good to ski in? Or is it too light? Where I ski is rarely below 20 degrees.

I wouldn't risk it. Not because of temperature, but because of the material. It's just a cotton sweatshirt. It'll absorb water like crazy, it's not windproof or water resistant, and it'll never dry. In 20 degree weather, it might even get wet and freeze that way. Unless the stuff you're wearing under it is warm enough on its own, I wouldn't bother with this. It's an around-town, mild weather hoodie.
