Backcountry.com Cairn Fleece Jacket - Women's - 2008 BCS

Got this for my gf who is a very avid runner. She absolutely loves it. Got her an XS in black and the fit and look is spot on. I knew from the get go that this jacket would be perfect for her to use for active her pursuits. The contour fit also helps her easily throw on another layer on top of this piece without adding the appearance of bulkiness. This is a very well made jacket and super functional. I want one like it for myself.

The problem with this jacket is that it is cut to fit short and hefty women. I bought a medium (because I am 5'9" and 135 lbs) and not only was the fleece too wide in the torso - the sleeves were ridiculously short (bordering three quarter length). I typically buy Medium from Northface and Arc'teryx and have never had this problem with sizing...meanining, I do not have freakishly long arms or narrow torso.

It was a gift for a loved one and she loved it, she likes it a lot. Super durable material, she likes it better than Arcteryx.

Usualy I am a sice M but I got a sice S. It fits perfect. Only the sleeves cut be a little bit longer.

First off I love your website but I have to say I was disappointed with this jacket. I bought the black Cairn Fleece jacket and the grey pockets on the outside were almost plastic like, they were a hard material. The fleece was warm but definitely not windproof. It started pilling within the first week I started wearing it. The fit wasn't very flattering and overall for the price it definitely wasn't worth it. I ended up returning it.

Gave it to my Wife for a Valentine's Day gift. She like the inverted fleece. Very smooth and light. Cut and fit is excellent and every time she wear it, they always noticed the fit and "The Goat" logo. We choose black 'coz it is elegant and goes with everything.

My husband gave me this coat for Christmas. It is sooo comfortable, like a high performance sweater. It really seems to have some thought put into it. The pockets have a stiff material around them so they are easy to access and inside the hand warmer pockets are the waist cinch straps. The coat is just the right weight and keeps me warm but not hot when playing outdoors.

I bought the men's version (same thing) but they've sold out so I figured I would leave a review on the women's version. It's very nice but really more of a "fancy" sweater than a true jacket. It's probably great on cool/cold days but i wouldn't want this on a wet one.

This is a great fleece to lounge around in but is not meant to be windproof. Mine also pilled around the pockets after a few weeks. I love the extra sleeve pocket! It fits a little big too so go one size down if you are in doubt.

This fleece was warm enough for Kilimanjaro. Very comfy with a nice fit.
