Ease of Use

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a great bomb proof shovel. It offers and extendable shovel that helps give you a little more leverage when excavating. A light and versatile shovel from BCA that does a great job of digging a pit or your buddy out in an emergency.

Basic Beauty!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Not much to say about this shovel. It's extremely strong and feels good in the hand. The blade is flat on the back making it nice for doing avy tests. I highly recommend it! If you have any specific questions, please let me know.

Good intro. shovel

The BCA non-extendable shovel is a little heavier than most, but it's also about two to three inches wider than most shovels, making digging quicker and measuring columns easier! Worth carrying the little extra weight for that, in my opinion.

Why's the weight of this one listed in grams while the B1 Extendable is listed in ounces? Can we have some consistency please? And 595 g works out to 21 ounces, which is the listed weight for the Extendable. They don't weigh the same.
