This cruiser features Nano Lightframe profile, which offers easy handling and optimal power transmission. The new Helium Tube construction means that this ski’s Densolite core has tubes running through it, which makes the X-Cruise 53 G2 super light weight and gives it increased flex near the bindings. The Grip and Glide base lets you climb with ease and glides without wax.

depends what you mean by "universal"...they have great glide, are narrow enough to fit in a groomed track, but stable enough for a logging road - the kind of ski everyone in snow country should have in the garage!

Love these skis. Going on my 3rd winter with them, and I am out skiing nearly every day, mostly back country. Have also skied groomed trails, and they are great there as well.
Yes, these are most definitely waxless. Atomic uses G2 to signify the Grip & Glide waxless base.
