Mother Nature has covered your local mountain with more frosting than your mama could make in a lifetime, and you need something to slice that mountain cake. The Atomic Sugar Daddy Ski makes short work of tall, powdery slopes. A 99-mm waist floats you all over the place, so go ahead and carve your name in cursive on the hill if you can stand to take a break from straight-shotting the steeps all day long. Atomic’s dense yet light Densolite (get it?) core stands up to harsh abuse while maintaining a stiffness that inspires high-speed carving.
Bottom Line: Skis so sweet you’ll frost your pants.
Hey there, I may have the opportunity to get some older (from around 2004) Atomic Sugar Daddy Skis for a great price and i just moved from the east coast to west so i'm getting used to the powder skiing but loving it . I'm a high intermediate to advance skiier - i don't mind speed but not a big fan of bumps unless it is powder. I'm 5'5", 136 lbs. Is 164" length going to be too big of a ski for me? Thanks in advance!
these were my first "big" powder ski back in '04, man i loved these skis. they introduced me into the mindset that a big ski is good for everyday use. my one word of wisdom to a buyer is GO BIG OR GO HOME. i made the mistake thinking that i couldn't handle a big ski (i am 5'8" and 140 and went with a 173) so unless you are under 5'5" go with the 183 or bigger.

this is my go to ski, use them at jackson everywhere-all conditions. crud, pow- etc. only advice do not get atomic bindings- way too heavy- ski is really light for backcountry treks and atomic bindings are a deal killer.
Ken:What binding would you recommend? I was looking at a Tele binding so I can put on skins and climb. Just did a week at PM in Utah and my Rosi shaped skis and Marker bindings made it tough to traverse.
I skied the rossi s5 recently in some deep pow and loved em. I am looking for a lil more float but dont wantto give up too much maneuverablity. I am 5'10" and 215 lbs. I ski very aggressiv. III+. I liked the forgiveness and softness in bumpbs of s5, how would these compare?
got these two months ago. been using them all winter out west and at home in the east and in all snow depths that i have encountered for 3 and a half feet to an inch of packed powder they have been great. as others have said these skis are insanely fast but dont let that scare you away because at all speeds from the cat tracks to about 50 55 mph they are stable with no chattering. Great ski.
The Sugar Daddy in the 183cm is excellent PNW all around ski. Very stable in wet heavy snow. Great in powder and very powerful on the groomed. I couldn't find the speed limit on these. Would be an outstanding backcountry ski due to its light weight. I was surprised with how quick underfoot these skis were, also due to its stable light weight construction. A lot of new skis have come and gone and the Sugar Daddy is still an excellent choice for most expert skiers.
I would reccomend the 153. A lot of people like to ski slightly longer skis for more stability at speed or float in powder. If you are a powerful and agressive skier, go 163.
I think you'll mind the 183 being too short more than the 193 being too long. The added length will help with stability too. Go for the 193 and don't look back.
just got e'm last week, went up for some east coast skiin, surprised these handle ice, hardpack, slush, crud anything and everything, will update on how well they do when i get them in some actual powder
have them in 193, no speed limit, faster than my race skis, forget about short quick turns haha, point them down and fly, they are super stable and seriously fast
Hello, I need bindings for these skiis. Will the Atomic FFG14 B115 work? Do the binding dimensions need to work with the ski? Or can I just by the bindings?
Buy any binding that works for your weight, height, and aggressiveness. Make sure you order brakes of 100mm.Yeah the brakes are important but do yourself a favor and buy something lighter than the Atomic bindings. Think Look/Dynastar PX12's or 14's or even better spring for Marker Jesters.
this is my go to ski, use them at jackson everywhere-all conditions. crud, pow- etc. only advice do not get atomic bindings- way too heavy- ski is really more...
