Description

A light-duty trail ski that skates or glides equally well.

Forgiving, lightweight and versatile, the Atomic Motion 59 Grip Ski makes it easy to tackle hills classical-style or skate down groomed trails while you enjoy a bluebird winter day. Atomic made this their widest light-touring Nordic ski in order to create a stable platform for regular recreational skiers and weekend warriors alike. Even if your area lacks immaculately-buffed trails, the Motion 59 Ski will help you go the distance or enjoy a lazy, Sunday afternoon cruise.
  • G2+ base structure balances traction with glide so you get the most grip on your kick and the most distance and speed as your slide forward
  • Densolite core sandwiches a foam core between a top and bottom layer of fiberglass in order to make the ski snappy on the kick and comfortably forgiving when you're gliding
  • Touring profile gives this skis a versatile sidecut so it's easy to control on the downhill and stable when you're faced with a climb

Yes. They have Atomic's G2+ "fishscale" base. It is still a good idea to occasionally wax the glides zones. Your skis will last longer and perform better.
