Customizable liners changed the ski-boot game about ten years ago, but they're standard now, so Atomic is taking the customizable-fit concept to the logical next level: the shell and cuff. The Hawx 120 Men's Ski Boot uses Atomic's Memory Fit technology, which gives you a custom-fit shell in minutes, relieving pressure points, decreasing slop, and increasing performance so you'll ski better and be more comfortable. Indeed, the name of the Hawx' game is customization: not only is the shell adjustable, but the Platinum Liner is fully moldable, and the Power Shift technology lets you choose from three forward lean settings—13, 15, and 17 degrees—as well as change the flex rating by up to ten points in either direction, making the Hawx ski more like a 110 or a 130 depending on style and conditions.
The killer Platinum Liner is also decked out with 3M Thinsulate Platinum insulation to keep your toes from turning to ice blocks, and it has a medium-volume 100mm last to offer a fit that's high-performance without being painful. Atomic also hooked the Hawx up with Sole Flex technology, which gives the boot a natural flex underfoot for better balance and snow feel in any terrain. A traditional four-buckle design and wide power-strap let you crank the Hawx down as tight as you need to, and the grippy sole helps you stay upright when you have to scramble up some rocks to get to the top of your line.
